Al Hilal, the Saudi Pro League champions, have officially offered Aston Villa 39 million pounds, including potential add-ons, for striker Ollie Watkins.
Reports indicate that the 30-year-old England international is interested in moving to Riyadh, but Aston Villa has the final say. Villa had previously rejected two informal offers from the Saudi club. Now, they have a formal 39 million pound offer.
Watkins is open to the transfer and has already agreed to personal terms with Al Hilal, who are looking for a prominent striker. Although Unai Emery sees Watkins as vital to his team’s offense, Villa’s own valuation of the player is closer to 51.3 million pounds.
Villa now needs to decide whether to negotiate the offer or stand firm before the transfer window closes.
