Paris Saint-Germain is close to reaching a verbal agreement to sign FC Barcelona forward Ferran Torres for about €50 million.
The two clubs are in the final stages of official talks after PSG made a formal offer.
Ferran Torres has agreed to personal terms verbally and wants to make the move. Since he only has one year left on his Barcelona contract, PSG sees this as a great deal. Normally, with more time left on his contract, Torres would be valued at around €70m to €80m.
PSG is changing its attack, and manager Luis Enrique specifically asked for the 26-year-old Spanish player. Luis Enrique worked with Torres a lot when he managed the Spain national team and likes how Torres can play effectively in any of the three forward positions.
