Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of closing out Ligue 1’s biggest deal of the summer. After weeks of stubborn resistance and rejected bids from the Principality side, PSG and AS Monaco have finally reached a full breakthrough for the transfer of 24-year-old playmaker Maghnes Akliouche.
The agreement is in its final stages, with only formal structural details left to iron out.
Monaco stood firm for weeks, rejecting multiple approaches—including an earlier €45 million package. However, PSG raised their offer to a comprehensive €50 million package (add-ons included), which Monaco’s board ultimately accepted as the French international had long prioritized a move to the capital, agreeing on personal terms over a five-year contract weeks ago. His enthusiasm for Luis Enrique’s project and tactical setup played a vital role in keeping negotiations on track despite Premier League suitors pushing in the background.
Following the departure of South Korean playmaker Kang-in Lee to Atlético Madrid in a €40 million deal, PSG specifically targeted Akliouche to fill that tactical void.
