Palace Stand Firm as Galatasaray Move for Ismaïla Sarr

The Turkish champions have put the 28-year-old Senegalese international at the top of their list to strengthen their attack for both their league and European matches.

They’ve formally offered him a deal, dangling Champions League football as part of the package. Sarr seems willing to talk and is open to a move to Istanbul.

The club’s ambitions and the proposed personal terms are appealing to him. However, Crystal Palace sees him as a crucial player. They’ve already turned down Galatasaray’s first offer and are looking for around 60 million euros.

They’re hoping this high price tag will make any late transfer unlikely, unless a truly exceptional offer comes in. Adding to the chatter, Sarr wasn’t in the starting lineup this past weekend. He’d also missed some training sessions beforehand.

While early stories mentioned a minor injury, his absence from the starting team has definitely fanned the flames of transfer speculation. It looks like unless Galatasaray substantially increases their offer to match Palace’s demanding price, the London club plans to keep their star winger at Selhurst Park for this season.
