Newcastle Step Up Joao Palhinha Interest

Newcastle United is pushing harder to sign Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha. They’ve offered a permanent transfer deal because Aston Villa’s talks stalled.

Reporter Ben Jacobs says Newcastle is talking with Bayern again. They’re hoping to sign Palhinha because Bayern wants to sell him permanently, not loan him out.

Palhinha initially wanted to join Aston Villa and had agreed to personal terms. However, Bayern Munich rejected Villa’s loan offer.

Newcastle, unlike Villa, is ready to meet Bayern’s asking price with a permanent bid. This comes after they failed to sign their first midfield choice, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg.

João Palhinha is known for being one of Europe’s best midfielders in tackles, interceptions, and ground duels. He defends the back line, which gives his midfield partners more freedom to attack.

Bayern Munich wants to sort out Palhinha’s future and won’t agree to loan terms. Newcastle’s willingness to buy him permanently puts them in a good spot to finalize the deal with both the club and the player soon.
