Manchester United have launched a bold maneuver in their search for defensive reinforcement. Club-to-club discussions are currently underway between Manchester United and Newcastle United regarding a potential move for 21-year-old left-back Lewis Hall.
The Red Devils have made securing a dynamic full-back a high priority for the remainder of the transfer window as they are back in Europe with a much needed depth due to the fixture congestion
While Manchester United feel encouraged that the England international would be receptive to the move, finalizing a deal won’t be straightforward, Newcastle United hold a strong position with Hall under contract through 2029. The Magpies have no urge to part ways with one of their brightest young defensive prospects easily, valuing him around the £60 million mark.
With discussions between the two Premier League rivals active, all eyes remain on whether Manchester United will submit a formal proposal heavy enough to tempt Newcastle to the negotiating table.
