Manchester City and Chelsea are in the last stages of sorting out the details for Enzo Fernández. Reports suggest the deal could go for over £120 million, which would bring the 25-year-old World Cup winner to the Etihad.
Fernández himself has already agreed to personal terms with City, apparently looking forward to playing under Enzo Maresca again. Chelsea is holding firm on their valuation, wanting more than £120 million before letting their Argentine player go. They’ve also made it known they want this deal wrapped up well before the transfer deadline so they have time to plan their squad properly.
To make sure they’re covered, Chelsea has been quick to find a replacement. They’ve reportedly agreed personal terms with AS Roma’s Manu Koné and have put in an official offer of over £52 million for the French midfielder.
With both clubs working on the final structural and payment details, it looks like Fernández’s big move to Manchester City is getting very close to being confirmed.
