Manchester United are making moves to bolster their midfield engine room, having reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné.
The 25-year-old French international—fresh off an impressive showing with Les Bleus at the 2026 FIFA World Cup—is keen on a move to the Premier League. Roma are open to a sale to help balance their books, setting their valuation around the €50 million mark.
While United remain in active contact with Roma and the player’s representatives, Old Trafford hierarchy are taking a firm stance: they will not overpay or rush into a bidding war.
Despite greenlighting terms with the Red Devils, the saga has a strategic twist. Reports out of Italy suggest Koné is holding out hope for an approach from Paris Saint-Germain.
