Man Utd Greenlight Personal Terms with Manu Koné

Manchester United are making moves to bolster their midfield engine room, having reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with AS Roma midfielder Manu Koné.

The 25-year-old French international—fresh off an impressive showing with Les Bleus at the 2026 FIFA World Cup—is keen on a move to the Premier League. Roma are open to a sale to help balance their books, setting their valuation around the €50 million mark.

While United remain in active contact with Roma and the player’s representatives, Old Trafford hierarchy are taking a firm stance: they will not overpay or rush into a bidding war.

Despite greenlighting terms with the Red Devils, the saga has a strategic twist. Reports out of Italy suggest Koné is holding out hope for an approach from Paris Saint-Germain
