Ipswich Town is trying hard to sign midfielder Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen.
They’ve already made an offer of £17 million, but Leverkusen turned it down and is now asking for around £30 million for the 27-year-old Argentine player.
Other clubs in the Bundesliga and the Premier League are also watching Palacios. Even though Ipswich’s first offer didn’t work out, talks are still happening as the transfer deadline gets closer, and they seem to think a deal is possible.
Palacios is known for being good at keeping the ball under pressure, passing accurately, and working hard defensively. He was a key player for Leverkusen in their undefeated 2023/24 Bundesliga season, making him a very attractive midfield signing.
