Turkish giants Fenerbahçe are set to meet directly with AC Milan management and representatives of Rafael Leão to present an official proposal!
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Istanbul club is planning a audacious attempt to buy the 27-year-old Portuguese winger on a permanent basis.
Fenerbahçe executives are scheduling a direct meeting with Leão’s agents and the AC Milan board to formally present their contract and fee package but AC Milan owner Gerry Cardinale has firmly shut the door on any potential loan deal. Milan will only entertain proposals for a permanent transfer.
Fenerbahçe have shown immense ambition in recent transfer windows, seeking marquee names to lead their domestic and European ambitions. Securing a player of Leão’s caliber—a former Serie A MVP and World Cup star—would represent a landmark statement for Turkish football.
However, with Milan refusing anything short of a permanent sale, Fenerbahçe will need to back up their intent with a massive financial outlay to get the green light.
