Everton and Manchester City have agreed to terms for Jack Grealish to return to Goodison Park on a loan for the season.
Grealish, who is 30, will have his medical on Tuesday morning and then sign the paperwork to make the move official.
Even though other clubs were interested and asked about the former 100 million pound player, only Everton was ready and able to meet Manchester City’s financial demands. City was firm on the wages and the loan fee.
Everton’s management pushed hard on Deadline Day to meet those terms completely. After a lot of player movement this transfer window, David Moyes’ team needed a talented player for the wing who could immediately add creativity and had played in big games before.
With both clubs in agreement and the contract ready, Grealish heads for his medical checks early Tuesday. If everything checks out, both clubs should announce the deal soon after.
