Coventry City Agree Deal to Sign Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest

Coventry City and Nottingham Forest have agreed on a deal to bring Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi to Coventry permanently.

The clubs have finalized the agreement. Awoniyi, who is 28, is currently having his medical exams and will finalize his personal terms with Coventry. Awoniyi is known for being strong, good in the air, and able to hold up the ball against defenders.

He gives Coventry a strong presence up front. He has scored important goals in the Premier League for Forest, including ones that helped them stay in the top league in recent seasons.

He’s also good at finishing chances inside the box. Awoniyi can also make runs out wide and play well when his team is attacking on the break. This makes him a good fit for Coventry’s energetic midfield and wing players.

Since his medical is happening now, the clubs are expected to make official announcements and introduce him soon after all the paperwork is done. Awoniyi will join the team right away once he gets international and medical clearance.
