Bryan Zaragoza is returning to La Liga. FC Bayern Munich and RCD Espanyol have reached an agreement after negotiations moved quickly.
The 25-year-old Spanish winger will initially join Espanyol on loan. The deal includes a clause that requires Espanyol to purchase him for €8 million. This means Zaragoza will become a permanent Espanyol player in June 2027, ending his contract with the German club.
Zaragoza first joined FC Bayern from Granada in early 2024 for about €15 million. He didn’t get much playing time in Munich and after a few loan spells, he was no longer in head coach Vincent Kompany’s plans.
This transfer to Espanyol offers Zaragoza a clear opportunity to regain his footing in La Liga. For Bayern, it means they can move him on permanently and stop paying his salary.
