Borussia Dortmund have secured their next major marquee signing.
As reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, BVB have reached a full agreement to sign 23-year-old attacking midfielder Giannīs Kōnstantelias from PAOK Saloniki. The trademark “Here We Go” confirmation is in, with only formal documentation and the club’s official announcement remaining.
The total package is worth €32 million, including performance-related add-ons, and PAOK have secured a 15% sell-on clause for any future transfer fee. Kōnstantelias is set to sign a four-year deal keeping him at Signal Iduna Park through 2030, earning a reported €3.2 million net per season.
Kōnstantelias traveled to Germany on Sunday to undergo his medical tests.
The move triggers a major emotional response back in Thessaloniki. PAOK supporters staged pyro-lit protests outside Toumba Stadium on Sunday night after learning of the deal, demanding answers over the sale of their prized academy product. A similar move to VfB Stuttgart was blocked by PAOK ownership last summer due to fan backlash, but Dortmund successfully pushed the deal over the finish line this time around.
The addition of Kōnstantelias continues Dortmund’s aggressive rebuilding of their creative core. He joins fellow Greek international Konstantinos Karetsas—who signed earlier this month from Genk—giving BVB two of the most technically gifted young playmakers in European football.
