Aston Villa are actively talking with West Ham United about signing right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Manager Unai Emery wants to bring in a strong player for the right-back position to compete with Matty Cash before the transfer window closes
. Villa has started discussions for the 28-year-old, looking into a permanent transfer. They missed out on other players like Emerson Royal, and Wan-Bissaka has become their main target because he’s known for being excellent at defending one-on-one.
West Ham is reportedly asking for about £25 million for him. Since West Ham was relegated, they are willing to sell players.
Aston Villa is also making space in their squad because young full-back Kosta Nedeljkovic might go on loan to Rangers.
Talks are ongoing between Aston Villa and West Ham to agree on the £25 million fee. If they reach a deal, Wan-Bissaka would give Emery a player with European experience and defensive skills, which Villa will need for a busy season both in England and in Europe.
