AS Roma is busy with transfers late in the summer. According to transfer news reporter Fabrizio Romano, who shared this on his YouTube channel, Roma has agreed on all personal terms with 21-year-old Belgian winger Malick Fofana and his agents.
Roma has also agreed with Olympique Lyonnais on all the details needed to make the transfer happen. Everything seems ready for the final signatures, but the deal is currently on hold because of another potential transfer.
Malick Fofana is eager to join Roma and has accepted the contract terms. Roma is prepared to meet Lyon’s price for the young winger, which is expected to be between €30 million and €40 million with potential add-ons.
Even though Galatasaray showed strong interest and offered a competitive contract, Fofana has chosen to join Gian Piero Gasperini’s team in Serie A instead. Roma will only finalize Fofana’s transfer after they hear back about their negotiations with FC Porto for player Rodrigo Mora.
Once Roma knows the outcome of the talks for Mora, the club’s management will decide whether to immediately complete the deal for Fofana with Lyon. Since both Fofana and Lyon have agreed to the terms, Roma can finalize the move whenever they decide to proceed.
