Manchester United Nearing Agreement for Brighton Midfielder Carlos Baleba

Manchester United is close to signing Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba. They’ve made an official offer of £60 million upfront, with another £5 million possible in add-ons.

David Ornstein from The Athletic reports that talks between the two clubs have sped up, and United is now focused on sorting out the deal’s specifics.

The deal includes a guaranteed £60 million, plus £5 million tied to performance, making the total package potentially £65 million. Baleba, a 22-year-old from Cameroon, reportedly really wants to join Manchester United. Negotiations are in their final stages, with both clubs working to agree on the terms.

Brighton had a high price for Baleba in past transfer windows, but this £65 million offer fits what the market expects now. More news about medical tests and final paperwork should come soon as the deal nears completion.
