Juventus Strike Deal with Tottenham to Sign Defender

Juventus and Tottenham have agreed on a deal to bring Guglielmo Vicario to Juventus. The 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper really wanted to come back to Serie A, so he’s leaving London today to have his medical and finalize the transfer to Turin.

Tottenham has agreed to a loan deal with Juventus. This loan includes a buy option that isn’t mandatory, meaning Juventus can decide whether to buy him permanently at the end of the season. Juventus and Vicario have already agreed on the personal terms of his contract.

Vicario was highly regarded in Italy before he joined Spurs from Empoli in 2023. He preferred returning to Italy to play for Juventus, the most successful club in Italy. Juventus, under Thiago Motta, is getting a top-tier goalkeeper who is very agile, has great reflexes, and knows Serie A well.

Now, Tottenham will have to look at their backup goalkeepers or try to find a new one in the market since Vicario is leaving right away.
