Chelsea Football Club has set a firm deadline regarding Enzo Fernández. With Manchester City showing interest, Chelsea has told them they need to make a formal offer of £120 million by 5:00 PM UK time today. If not, they will stop considering any sale of Fernández.
Chelsea says they aren’t trying to sell the 25-year-old midfielder, who is important to them. But after months of transfer rumors, they don’t want it to interfere with building their team before the Premier League starts.
Sources suggest that if no deal is reached by today’s deadline, Chelsea won’t consider selling Fernández again until at least the summer of 2027.
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca wants Fernández as his top midfield target, especially as Barcelona are also trying to sign Rodri. City representatives have been talking directly with Fernández’s team over the last day, and it’s reported that Fernández has already agreed to personal terms with Manchester City.
City had hoped to pay around £105 million, but Chelsea is insisting on the full £120 million paid upfront. For Chelsea, it’s either the full £120 million or Enzo stays.
