There’s been a lot of talk about Gabriel Martinelli’s future at Arsenal. Galatasaray, who won the Turkish league, have made a first offer of about £38.5 million for the 25-year-old Brazilian player.
It seems like Martinelli is open to moving to Istanbul, which means Arsenal now has to decide whether to accept the offer as talks between the clubs go on.
Galatasaray sees Martinelli as their top priority for this transfer window, especially as they prepare for the UEFA Champions League. After bringing in some big names before, they believe Martinelli would significantly boost their attack in Europe.
Since Leandro Trossard has already moved to Turkey this summer, Mikel Arteta is looking at how to strengthen his wide attacking options before the transfer window closes. While Martinelli is committed to playing for Arsenal, agreeing to personal terms suggests a move to Turkey is a serious possibility if the clubs can agree on a transfer fee.
Arsenal’s management and Mikel Arteta are now considering whether they should accept the £38.5 million valuation or ask for more money before letting the Brazilian leave.
