Alexis Sánchez, the Chilean forward, has agreed to join CF Montréal on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 37-year-old, who previously played for Sevilla, Barcelona, and Arsenal, has signed a two-year deal with the MLS team.
He became a free agent after his contract with Sevilla FC ended, where he played in 30 games last season.
CF Montréal hinted at the signing on social media by showing their new No. 10 jersey.
This confirms that manager Luca Saputo wanted to bring in a top attacking player. Sánchez will be a Designated Player, giving Montréal a world-class attacker to help them compete for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
