French Ligue 1 side Stade Brest are closing in on an agreement to sign Norwegian international goalkeeper Egil Selvik from EFL Championship outfit Watford.
While several clubs across Europe have expressed keen interest in securing the 29-year-old shot-stopper, Stade Brest have now surged ahead after reaching a club-to-club agreement with Watford.
Talks between Brest and Selvik’s representatives regarding personal terms are currently ongoing and advancing toward a full resolution.
Egil Selvik has established himself as a reliable, commanding figure between the posts for both club and country earning caps during high-stakes international competitions, including appearances against top-tier opposition like France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After earning high praise in the Norwegian Eliteserien with FK Haugesund, Selvik made the leap to Italian football with Udinese before completing a move to English side Watford.
